As Property Managers are often out of the office all general maintenance is to be reported to:
For urgent maintenance ONLY please call the office on:
GAS LEAK – Australian Gas Networks
- Contact Australian gas networks immediately if you can smell gas outside the property or near meter.
- If the smell is inside the property turn the gas off at the meter immediately & contact Savvy.
- DO NOT ignite any naked flames for your safety.
NO POWER – SA Power Networks
- Go online to see if the power is out in in your area sapowernetworks.com.au/outages
- Check to see if the safety switch has tripped in the meter box.
- Identify which labelled switch is affected and turn it back on.
BLOCKED DRAINS – SA Water
- Run a drain cleaner through the drain – Draino works well.
- Use a bent coat hanger to remove hair & build up from shower or basin.
- Use a plunger to push blockage through.
- Check to see if all drains in the property are affected and contact SA Water to report the blockage.
TOILET BLOCKAGES – SA Water
- Only toilet paper goes into the toilet!!!
- Use a plunger to push blockage through.
- If toilet is gurgling or water will not drain, don’t wait for it to fix itself call SA Water to report a blockage.
- If SA Water attend and cannot clear the blockage contact Savvy.
NO HOT WATER
- Check the relevant safety switch in the meter box is turned on.
- Check the power point connected directly to the hot water unit is turned on.
- If your property is connected to gas, check the gas connection is turned on.
AC UNIT WONT TURN ON
- Check the relevant safety switch in the meter box is turned on.
- Check the power point connected directly to the Air Conditioner Unit is turned on.
- Turn the power off for 15 minutes and turn it back on.
- Check the filter for build up & clean as required.
- Check the batteries in the remote and replace as required (when applicable).
- AC units are most effective running 24C – running below this temperature puts unnecessary strain on the motor.
*NOTE – AC units will shut off in extreme hot weather to protect the motor.
